OB/GYN:wk5,day17: continued

it's really hard to work in a place with pretty females. they're a major distraction. today, there was a surprise OSCE, which is a simulated interview, where i am supposed to interview and edjumacate patients. my patient happened to be a young pretty woman in her 20s. i kept stuttering, not because of the subject matter, but because she was so dang pretty. couldn't make eye-contact either. couldn't look down, b/c that would've directed my eyes in an area that would be interpreted as inappropriate, couldn't look to the sides, or above, b/c she would've thought i was crazy. just struggled, man. as soon as i made eye-contact, i felt like i had done something i shouldn't do, and whipped my head to the side.

there are also pretty nurses and interns all around. i don't know if it is b/c i am having so little contact with other real non-hospital people, or what, but these people are looking GOOD to me.

and finally, there's something going on between me and one intern, i don't know what. we're hitting it off, and she is more a friend than my superior. i like getting to know her, am hoping that the perception of increasing closeness is just in my head and not real, and ....argh, i need to get away from the hospital.
