OB/GYN:wk4,day26 :call night

being on call was very hard. 9am sat morn until 10am sunday morning. 25 hrs. 2 cesarean section operations, numerous vaginal deliveries, a whole lot of running around. my feet are killing me. i'm not going to describe everything. it was just very, very hard.

i was supposed to be done at 9am, but what can you do when a baby's heart rate suddenly deccelerates and needs a c-section? you gotta jump in for the operation. so i finished a little before 10am, contemplated going straight to youth group in my scrubs, decided that that would be a distraction, so ran back to my room, changed (w/o shower. sorry. i was in a rush), and ran to RCC for STORM.

and struggled mightily to stay awake. actually, it wasn't much of a struggle. i was losing terribly.

carol suggested that i just to sleep in the lounge, which i did. they came in for bible study after the service, and so i just went home. slept for 4 hrs.

woke up strangely refreshed with such little sleep. went to 5:00 service.PB's preaching is getting so much better. i'm feeling him a lot more these days. there were a lot of people today, which was great.

open mic afterwards was awesome. so many talented people. RUM's U2 song was insane. pat's song rocked. mansion is always good. susan's song was so good, and hilarious, though maybe that wasn't her intent.

good night. tomorrow begins my 1 wk elective on the abortion clinic. pray for me. i'm gonna need everyone's prayers.
