HAPPY BIRTHDAY, JIMMY!!! (4/11)
so, this dude is now 27. wow. where did the time go? he can no longer call himself young. he's pretty old, man. and getting married. holy moly. (getting kinda slow and heavy, too...)
my brother. i could write pages and pages about him, and what he means to me. just come to the wedding, and you'll hear what i have to say about him. very simply, i once hated him. i couldn't understand nor love a being that seemed to go out of his way to cause trouble and misery. and yet, somehow he changed. so much.
in my mind, jimmy is the evidence of a true miracle, because the very roots of his personality has changed. who says God does not exist? look at my brother. God DOES exist, and He can do ANYTHING. He can restore the most painful relationship that i've ever had to one of true brotherhood and friendship. i guess that's why i don't get fazed with too much in life. what does it matter? he was the reason that i felt like i couldn't approach God (1 John) throughout my childhood:
9Anyone who claims to be in the light but hates his brother is still in the darkness. 10Whoever loves his brother lives in the light, and there is nothing in him[3] to make him stumble. 11But whoever hates his brother is in the darkness and walks around in the darkness; he does not know where he is going, because the darkness has blinded him.
15Anyone who hates his brother is a murderer, and you know that no murderer has eternal life in him.
the release when i found that God had changed him in college... the bonds taken away... and i could finally say, "GOD! I love you!" with freedom.
through this 10 year journey, my deepest prayers were answered, and my faith and relationship with God is at an entirely different level.

my cousins visted yesterday. they're so cute. b is like a little lady. whenever i see her, i start to laugh, because she is not like a little kid at all. she's probably more lady-like than nearly all girls i know. good laughs. :D
today's agenda: get fitted for TUX! dave and i think we should get baby blue and fluorescent orange retro tuxes, like in dumb and dumber. joanne laughed and agreed, but i think she was joking around. i don't know if she realized that we weren't.
