urology wk 2, day 8

this wk is clinic. all day today, old men came in with erectile dysfunction issues.

now, now, let's be mature, please....

ok, fine. i was laughing too. what a weird day. an EDUCATIONAL day.

- didn't know how badly old men still want to have erections... lots of questions raised...
- WHY do they want it so bad?
- WHO are they having sex WITH, FOR PETE'S SAKE?! it's not nice to think of them having intercourse with old ladies (poor old ladies!!), OR younger women. *shivering*

we learn that old ppl do "it" too, in medical school, but it's quite another thing to be in a room with 80 year old men, calmly talking about their current sexual experiences.

the miracles of viagra... i tell you, i don't know if it should be touted as a miracle drug for giving old men erections, or condemned as a evil drug for giving old men erections.

so, young ladies, when you see an old man leering at you, you are not imagining it. he really IS lusting after you.

no matter how many times it's happened, it's still weird to have grown men drop their pants in front of me. i feel like saying, "no, no, what are you doing?! STOP THAT!!!"

one old man had a prosthetic, with a pump. it was mind-boggling to see him reach under his nuts to give a couple of pumps, then to see his erection. then, he BENT his penis (me, shocked, thought he was upset and trying to break his thing), and the thing deflated. weirdness.

felt bad when i saw one of my ex-professors. embarassing for both of us. we pretended i wasn't a medical student, that i hadn't taken his required class.

so, how backward is this world we live in, when these 80+ yr old men are getting all this action, when i, a strapping young lad at 24, isn't getting ANY?! WHERE IS THE JUSTICE?!!

oddly enough, there was an article in sports illustrated about michael chang, former world #2 in men's tennis. they asked him if it was true that he wouldn't have sex until he got married, and he said yes. the dude is 30 something. my running streak is nothing.

yep, he is christian. and his answer about what he was looking for in a girl was hilariously late-night-college like. the #1 on his list? she has to be a strong christian.

very enouraging. we need more examples like michael chang and A.C. Green.

WHERE DID THIS SNOW COME FROM?!

this winter already had the heaviest snow fall i've seen to date, but a snow flurry in april?! bizarre. in mere hours, the world has turned white.
