    april fools

what a bad idea, april fools day.

esther got me, so i thought i'd perpetuate the evil (this is the garden of eden in reverse. hahaha).

    the jokes:
    1) told some ppl that i am dating esther (a tried and proven ruse. i'm surprised that it still continues to work)
    2) told a girl that i had a crush on her
    3) told a friend that i had a talk with the dean of my school, who told me that i was being dropped
    4) told some ppl that i have leaving STORM YG

now, just a little justification for the content of the material i used. as any good joker knows, the best ruses work when blended in with actual truth, or the suspicion of certain ideas. 98% of success is due to the set-up, and 2% is the execution of "the kill." the art comes in how well you weave the set-up.

that is my reasoning for the above jokes. because they are all in some ways plausible, or ppl suspect that it might be plausible. it's been proven in real life, and in the simulation of deception: the game mafia/killer.

    responses:
    - "that's not funny. that's not even a joke!"
    - "you're so mean."
    - "jerk"
    - made certain ppl cry.
    - not a single person laughed. no "haha" from a soul. sheesh.

the effect this evening had on ME
i had a couple of good laughs, but for the most part, i felt terrible. there are certain jokes that aren't funny, i guess. i'm especially sorry to stella and sandy. please forgive me, ladies. some of the nice things sandy was saying to me as i was working the set-up made me choke up. i almost abandoned the plan. almost.

the conclusion of all this is that i'm not very funny, i guess. my humor is very different from other ppl's humor. if someone were to pull something something like this on me, i would be distressed while believing it, but laugh heartily when i hear the "april fools!" and the more i was suckered, the more i would enjoy the big laugh afterwards.

but not all ppl are built the same way. i go to sleep feeling like i need to pray and ask for some forgiveness. from ppl, from God.

    i am not loki.
