in nj

post call today. after rounds, pretty much just left w/o saying goodbye. i was pretty fed up with scut. so i left for NJ. mom and dad are always carping about how i never come home, and i never know when i might get a chance like this. i came home to rest, to engage in my favorite activity, sleeping . . . and my mom promptly put me to work. she told me to take down two trees.

?!?! but what kind of son can protest? so i set to work with an axe. i was actually enjoying it, feeling like a lumberjack, and making decent progress. then my mom came out and told me we had a electric chain saw. ooooOOOOooo.... i had a huge smile when i saw it. every boy must have had destructive dreams
