i'm on call tomorrow, and will be in the operating room straight until midnight. no break. no lunch, no dinner. maybe bathroom breaks. all because of one crazy surgeon who likes to do his cases all in one day.

and contemplating tomorrow, i just realized: i haven't eaten today. and now i'm hungry, but i need to go to sleep, to get up at 5:30am tomorrow. ai....

how does one forget to eat? too many things to do in one day. i guess this is why ppl make such an effort to eat at a designated time. because if you don't, the hours merge and before you know it, you need to go to bed to get ready for the next day.

oh well.

today was match day. our school matched very well.

even more encouraging: stopped by to talk with my dean, to talk about taking a yr for research and a month of medical missions. he was so encouraging. gave me a lot of peace and hope. why didn't i get to know him better earlier? i don't know.
