dream

i am leading a bible study: a YG kid warns a younger, elementary kid, who had been lying belly down on the floor: "*****, pay attn! what was jacob talking about?!" ****** proceeds to give a concise, perfect summary of the topic. YG kid is miffed.

later, on a different passage. YG kid reads a sentence from the bible, and demands that the elementary kid say the next sentence. he scrunches his face. then recites it, perfectly. YG kid reads another sentence. this time, elementary kid thinks carefully about the meaning of the 3 sentences they've just gone over, and i saw him THINK about what would be next. and again, he recites perfectly. YG reads for the last time. again, elementary kid thinks really hard. the sentence syntax is incorrect, but again, the words and meaning are dead on.

we stare at him, a little terrified. bible study ends quickly.

dreamshift:
i am walking up a steep hill, to get to my christian fellowship. i feel the sky darkening, and i know that it will soon rain. i try to sprint uphill, kicking my knees high, but my speed increases only slightly. my thighs burn.

the rain comes with big, heavy drops. i am pelted. i finally reach the top of the hill, soaked.
