yesterday's steaks i made were pretty good. everyone liked them, especially the ribeye. however, i knew what i wanted the steaks to taste like, in my mind, and they were not right. but, it was fun preparing them, my family didn't know the difference, and i will be more sucessful my next time.

it also makes me kind of sad that my family doesn't know how to eat steaks. i myself eat my steaks medium (not, AAAAAAAAAAAAAEEEEEEEE (hugh grant trying to be italian, saying "rare" without the "R's.")). but the rest of my family likes theirs well done. which pretty much kills the steak, in my opinion. i prepared them medium, and then had to cook theirs a bit further, to well done. a waste, in many ways...

in just a little bit, we are going to head over to joanne's house for thanksgiving. it's a big, two families getting together type of deal. i'm not very comfortable hanging out with korean parents. :P

we are currently watching a cnbc special on the improving chinese economy. a chinese guy is speaking english as i type. jimmy, david, and i are laughing as we watch, not because cnbc is funny, but because there are subtitles for this chinese guy that is speaking english. what an insult. of course, his accent is pretty bad. but his grammar and vocabulary are impeccable. it doesn't matter. there is no reason to our fits of laughter. we're weird like that. all these shows that are meant to be informative are totally lost on us.

btw: if some of you have gotten a happy thanksgiving from hanzfotoilet, that is stella, from my YG. she apparently went through my entire list, saying happy thanksgiving to everyone, including ppl she doesn't know. she is just a happy person, that's all. :D
