was walking on the street to go study today when an old lady stopped me. she didn't speak english, and i guess i looked like i wasn't in any particular rush, cause she just swooped on me. she motioned to her baby carriage, where a baby was strapped in, and pointed to the 2 plastic buckles. i guess her fingers weren't strong enough to push the release mechanism. so, mr-buff-guy (that's me, just to clarify) did the deed.

made me happy that i did something small to help someone. see, all that Webelos cub scout training wasn't in vain! haha. the only other occasion like this that i remember was when an old dude asked me to hold his arm as he crossed the street (i guess he was scared he was gonna fall while crossing the road or something).

i guess i'm not open enough to other people's needs, not actively LOOKING, if these two occasions stand out so much...

    back to work.

whenever i think of "old lady" and "baby carriage" i think of the gypsies in europe that try to pick your pocket.

hey jacob... do you remember me? i went to your house church once... & we played that open/close game. i still remember how you "closed" with yuor toes. that was hilarious... puah~ anyways, helping people is always good. :) i always see women carrying their baby carriages down the stairs at the subway stations & no one helps them... kinda sad. :( so i, with my bulging & diesel biceps, jump in & help. okay i struggle a bit but still better than nothing, right? hope when i'm become that lady with the carriage, someone will do the same.
