OB/GYN:wk6,day24: THE BIG EXAM

oh MAN. that was SO hard. i knew to fly through the exam this time, and not slow down to think (you'll run out of time). either you know the answer, or you don't. i didn't.

i got maybe 3 hrs of sleep. i couldn't sleep restfully, knowing that there can always be more review to be done. so i got up at 2:30am, went to the library, and reviewed some more.

didn't matter.

even answering as fast as i could, skipping the problems that i didn't know the answer to right away, i ran out of time, and had 4 questions that i didn't even have time to read.

this exam is impossible. my only hope is that the OB/GYN exam is traditionally hard, so that the avg is low with a narrow range. so, if i pass, it won't be because i did well. it will be because everyone did poorly.

this exam is a little upsetting, because gosh darn it, i studied my butt off for this. i KNOW the facts. but these questions don't ask for facts, they ask you to read a paragraph on a situation, and what you would do. that's fine, but they don't give you enough time to read, think, and answer. the only possible way is to skim, look for key info, and kick out the first thing that comes into your mind.
