OB/GYN:wk5,day19
7am fri morning till now, 9am sat morning. that's another 26 hrs of work straight, folks. my brain feels like someone got a egg beater and twirled it inside. more deliveries, more excitement, more chances for me to catch the baby myself with the attending assisting. i'm pretty comfortable with the whole OB thing. if a woman goes into labor while i'm in an elevator or plane, i'm pretty confident that i can deliver the baby with no trouble. learned how to tie sutures. after a baby comes out, the alveoli within the lungs need to open up. to achieve this, a padded cup is whacked against the baby's back, repeatedly. it's the first beating that a person receives, when entering this world. missed the STORM outing/BBQ on fri. stinks. i'm feeling somewhat distant from friends, family and loved ones, and i can't really do anything about it. *sigh* ok, my eyes are closing as i'm typing this. i think it means i need to go to sleep. i'm so faithful to this blog, it's ridiculous. yakob at 9:43 AM |
