so, guess who shows up at 6 in the morning? jc.

said goodbye tonight to HaN at CPK. she is going to portland. gonna miss you!

tomorrow, i will be saying goodbye to Reb. she is leaving permanently, to settle in san francisco. i'm gonna miss that girl so much. she's much a hard worker, a success story in so many ways. really outgoing, a chippy and strong woman. there was a time when i was scared of her. now, i'm not intimidated, but just as i'm getting to know her, in the midst of our busy lives (me with med school, her with working in business (and making incredible lots of $$$$$$$$$$), she is now leaving. so sad. too bad.

came back to school's thursday fellowship mtg. our bible study was on acts 22. i'm again amazed how God will speak to me through a bible study. countless times, i've glanced at a passage, and thought, "i know this passage" or, "there's not much of a message in THIS one," only to have God blast me with powerful stuff, messages that i had been totally blind to before. during bible studies like these, my heart beats as though i were playing basketball, and my mind feels so sharp and clear. my spirit really feels . . . different, exhilarated.

after the bible study, we shared prayer requests. was struck by the deepness and the gravity of the prayer requests. these were not simple, oh, i have this test coming up, or, i'm having trouble with this thing, or, i haven't done my QT very regularly. these were rock-my-world kind of prayer requests. wow. there is some heavy stuff going on in our fellowship. more the need for serious prayer.
