    medicine wk 4, day 26

what a way to end the 1st half of medicine.
2 pts died. one on a called code, the other was expected. neither were patients that i was following.

the day was relatively gentle. i will genuinely miss my team. my resident and intern were kickbutt nice people. they worked me hard, and they worked themselves even harder. i don't know if i'll find another team like them.

later, i had a talk with my mentor evaluating the 1st half, and she almost made my cry. not because she was critical of my performance, but because she wanted so much to know how i was doing. as a person. she's an incredible person. i will definitely maintain my relationship with her, and go to her for advice later on. i know i'll need it.

thus ends a weird, tough, emotional first half.

all i can say is this: at the very least, they all recognized me for who i was:

**HAPPY BIRTHDAY JAE!!! HAPPY BIRTHDAY BRYAN!!!**
