a packed day.

ice-skating with my lovely STORM youth group kids. i've changed somehow. i had a lot more fun talking with them and watching them than going off by myself, trying to improve my skating, as i used to do before.

ate an incredible dinner at Gene's. happy birthday, GENE!!
it is incredible, the type of talent this kid has. he will go far, i am sure of it. how many 6th graders do you know make a pretty decent movie? not too many that i know of...

met up with GLCers in chinatown. i think they got a pretty big shock. i TOLD jane and janet before, but they didn't believe me. i guess they do, now. :)

for the finale, went to Lillian's and Nina's. Lillian is an awesome sister from GLC, Nina is a high school classmate of Jimmy's. both incredible women. they were having a housewarming. :) lotsa lotsa fun.

here was the highlight of the evening, if not the entire month:
(we were playing taboo, and *** was on our team)

*** : "ok, it's a type of APPLE."
us: "granny smith!"
us: "washington red!"
us: "golden delicious!"
us: "fuji!"
us: "gala!"

the opponents next to *** are terribly confused, but start to howl with laughter. we don't know what's going on, but we are game, and are doing our best. *** gets somewhat frustrated with us, and yells out:"it's a kind of APPLE!!! .... " (while we were yelling and repeating the same answers)

***: "it's an apple with pines in it!"
us: ???????????
someone on our team (because the rest of us were too stunned, and our brains were unwilling to take this possibility in): "what do you mean?! pineapple?"

then we engage if some of the most painful laughter i have ever experienced, completely forgetting about the game, even though we have a good amt of time left. cause this, my dear friends, this was a laugh of a lifetime.

later that evening:
someone asked ***: "how's the time?" (meaning, do we have some time left to do more taboo cards)
*** answer: "time is doing fine."

i can't describe to you the laughter.
