no, i'm sorry, i did not ask a girl on a date. wouldn't THAT be something!! jeez, i'm getting kinda excited just THINKING about the possiblity, pretending as if i, too, didn't know the real reason, and hoping that i was going on a date.... but no, that's not it. i'm not brave enough yet.
sorry to disappoint all of you who thought i had something in me (courage) which i don't have.
but ANYWAY, the REAL event:
my older brother, jimmy, proposed to his long time gf, joanne, today!!!

grache, i laughed, yelled and screamed like a sissy cause i was so excited for him, and yet a little worried...
can you believe it? my BROTHER, the dude who tormented me throughout my youth, with whom i became best friends in college, who i came to respect on a spiritual level post-grad, this guy with whom i've lived with all these years, HE'S GETTING MARRIED.
OH MY GOODNESS....
so WEIRD.
they're gonna get married, and then have little kids, and i'll be an UNCLE!!! HAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
i will be one of those crazy uncles that gets stuff for the kids that the parents disapprove of. :D
