my older bro is on the path to marriage. i think that is public news. they are not officially engaged yet (i.e. he hasn't given her a ring = not engaged at all, in girls' minds).
one fine day, jimmy and joanne go to a bookstore (this is their favorite pastime). joanne gets a one foot stack of wedding magazines, jimmy picks up me talk pretty one day (my recommendation :D ). they sit down to read, and since sedaris is so funny, jimmy starts giggling to himself. after some time of reading and sporadic giggling from jimmy, joanne finally puts down her magainzes and says, "you know, it would be nice if you showed some interest."
