so i'm thinking about getting a car. i've been thinking about it for a while now, and amazingly, my parents are in support of the idea. i thought i'd have to convince them, but they were like, yeah, you should get one. then my mom blew me out of the water by apologizing for not having gotten any of us cars. very, very unexpected. my dad then offers to make a down payment for me. very, very, very nice.

come to think of it, it IS kind of odd that none of us ever had a car. we were taxied around all of hs by my mom in her white mazda mpv. that mazda got serious mileage, because all 3 of us were in various orchestras, piano lessons, violin/viola/cello lessons, volunteering, friends house for study group, etc, etc. it was a full-time job for my mom.

i'm excited about getting a new car. it'll be MINE. HAHAHAHAHA! man, having a car is just a different kind of freedom that every kid should experience. i got a taste of it in college with mike's saturn (which eventually croaked), but now, it'll be truly mine from the very beginning!!!

i've been saving up for a ring, but i guess that will have to wait until 5+ years later. HAHAHAHAHAHA jk, monkey! i never had any money to begin with. i'm financing this sucker. i knew you were reading this!

...uh, i don't know when that ring is coming. actually, in retrospect, i guess this is another one of my tasteless jokes that only i enjoy. sorry.
