spontaneous traveling U2 concert in NY 

Today, esk and I were down in chinatown so that i could get my haircut. (interview tomorrow!) We were just walking along, when we saw a bunch of clowns, rocking out on a flat bed truck along canal st. There was a modest crowd next to the truck.

"Dude, they're pretty good. they sound like U2."
"They even look like U2."

"wait.... OH MAN, THAT IS U2!!!"

It seemed like ppl around us were all realizing it at the same time, and BAM! It was mayhem, as ppl (including yours truly) followed U2 along canal st. there was a pretty decent crowd by this time, mostly consisting of young ppl. i ran right up next to the truck, and was running along it, about 3 ft away from Bono. it was pretty cool. pretty cool until a cop whistled angrily at me to keep my distance.

the funny thing was, there were all these chinese ppl that had no idea who U2 was, and could've cared less. actually, they were probably upset that they were causing a traffic jam.

still, it was pretty cool. U2 in canal st., chinatown. spontaneous concert.
