  • DINNER - fried/spiced/breaded meat, hearty soulfood, and something healthy for once
    Tuesday, March 2

    breaded pork chop

    2 pork chops/steaks
    2 eggs, beaten
    1 cup flour
    1 cup bread crumbs
your personal spice mix (with at least salt and pepper. don't oversalt. you can always add salt, but you can't take it away)

beat pork down with meat pounder, or with back of knife, until thin and tender
    mix spice mix into flour
roll pork/meat in egg, then spiced flour, then bread crumbs

    pan fry until golden.

    kimchee jjigae:

    1/2 container spam
1-2 chinese sausage (optional, but it's my favorite), or other meat
    2-3 tablespoons sesame oil
    2 cups aged kimchee
other random veggies you want to get rid of (most likely the little korean veggies/appetizers that you got (how awesome is that, anyway? that they give you all that for delivery?) when you ordered from nam kang. that stuff is perfect)

in pot, brown meat on high heat (if meat is fatty enough, you can add sesame oil later, which will keep flavors more separate. if not, cook meat in sesame oil)
chop up kimchee into bitesize pieces (nobody like a long green kimchee piece that can stick in your throat and choke you), throw in pot, and brown it as well.
    throw in other random veggies.
    stir fry for 5-10 min
add water, bring to a boil.
once it's boiling, reduce heat to medium, let it simmer for concentrated flavor.
    season with salt to taste

    healthy carbs:
    twisty egg noodles
chopped carrots, onions, celery, green peppers

boil egg noodles in salted water, drain
    add chopped veggies

done. (you can season this or add broth, sauces, flavored oils, etc, but these days, i feel like i've been eating greasy crap, so this fresh/clean carb thing is appetizing to me)

    in conclusion:
    fried/spiced/breaded pork chops
    kimchee jjigae
    light veggie pasta

    there you have it. BAM!
