man oh man. e and i met up with sean, howard, (we went to junior high and hs together) + 2 of their friends for lunch.

i felt like a little kid. you know how when you were little, and you knew a friend was going to come over. you wouldn't be able to focus all day on anything, you'd do and say crazy meaningless things, and when they finally come over, you're breathless and yet you try to maintain your cool, and be all normal, but you lose that little self control you had, and you're jumpin' jehosephat happy to see them, but after that first smile and hug, it's kinda awkward? yeah, it was kinda like that.

they look the same, except they both looked a lot buffer than i remembered. it must be in boy's genes: "WORK OUT AND GET BUFF," a message that kicks in by college and a few years after that. sean has a eyebrow ... i don't know what you call it. it's a rod with two little balls at the ends. and it's at the edge of his brow. howard looks really buff.

the cool thing, though, is while talking with them, i realized that these guys have experienced many things and have grown, the same way that i've grown. they've picked up new hobbies, interests, they're talented in many things, etc, etc.

we've each become men. no, i don't meant that. we're hardly men. i mean, .... hm.... we've developed CHARACTER. not necessarily GOOD character. but unique, rounded character.

i feel like i'm getting to know these guys as their true selves for the first time.

i'm about to hang with them tonight. who knows what the night will bring. if i look wasted tomorrow, you'll know why. haha. jk. (i don't drink. remember, YG kids, DON'T DRINK)
