seabiscuit. i don't know when i've seen such a feel good movie. there were no antagonists.

    funny point in movie:
the owner of seabiscuit tells the crowd of reporters, "all seabiscuit needs is a second chance. we could all use a second chance." without a beat, all male heads nod in agreement.

joe, james and i were in chinatown (james needed a haircut). joe and i noticed that a fairly large crew was filming right in front of the barbershop, so we hung around outside.

one of the assistant directors must have heard my inner desire to be a famous actor and offered us the opportunity to be extras. so joe and i walked from the other end of the street towards the camera, while the protagonist scurried along behind us.

look for me in the turkish drama, ooohma ooogha. ok, i don't remember exactly what it was called, but that's what it sounded like, when i asked a crew dude what the name of the movie was.

some questions that came up while sipping shredded honeydew melon ice with tapioca balls and contemplating issues: why are the kings of comedy black? black comedians are so much funnier than any other comedians. is black comedy a result of oppression? has anyone done a paper/thesis on this?
