AMAZING. just amazing. a 52 point effort. plus 8 rebounds, 7 assists, and 3 blocks. while shooting 50% from the floor.

iverson scores a lot. mcgrady scores a lot. neither shoots as good a percentage as kobe does. this marks his 10th consecutive 35+ game, and his 6th straight 40+ game. no one has EVER gone on such an unbelievable tear with this type of efficiency. even when jordan went on the last 10 game scoring binge, his % was lower. kobe is shooting nearly 50% from the floor and 40% from the 3. incredible.

but what REALLY made me smile is this:
ESPN.com - Page2 - Kobe's pulling all the strings, ESPN's wiley calling kobe the greatest scorer, EVER. EVER. HAHAHAHAHAHA

but what was even better, and made me laugh out loud? this kobe quote:

kobe: "I felt like Gepetto," after one of his recent exposés. He felt like the defenders were on the strings he held.

there is so much in that statement. an open declaration to the ENTIRE league. just stating his superiority. call it arrogance, call it cockiness, call it what you like.

the funny thing is, i think he's simply saying what he feels. you can even say that he said that humbly. not trying to goad people, not trying to demean the defense presented to him. just saying it straight from the heart, head lowered.

not guessing that with that simple statement, he just made himself the most hated player in the NBA. by all players, by all fans outside of lakerdom.

but he meant it. every word.

    oh man. i love it.
