Jones Beach

i wasn't really expecting much; this is the east coast, you know?
simply put, a beautiful day.
the beach was not crowded, we had space all to ourselves, we played volleyball, football, swam, tried to body some waves...just a lot of fun.

i even did what is becoming my signature on beach visits. this time, made my sand-person on her tummy (siince i was with church friends, you know....haha). perhaps one of my best ones...anatomy definitely helped me. if i can get a hold of a pic that was taken, i'll post it.

we had some amazing food: hamburgers, hotdogs, corn, shishkabobs, porkshops (marinated from a place in chinatown! mmm, mmm!). as some of us were discussing on the drive back, this was the most well prepared beach outing we had ever been on in our entire lives. thank you: andy, louisa, and jon!!!

on a side note, during football, DK called a play that had me taking 3 steps, then curling to the left. trouble was, he also called a play for esther to be at the same spot. i was looking for the pass, so i didn't see her. SPLAT. i pretty much bowled into her, and my jaw went to her shoulder. i was down and out, on the ground, and i was DAZED. i was wondering which guy had nailed me, so i look up and see pink. esther. that girl is strong.

had some good talks, some good moments of reflection. some time by myself to sing some songs. i had a great time.
