the following is an entry from a brother.
    MAD funny.
    "
(7:55pm) Just got home from the gym. New York Sports Club must be one of the most professional places i have ever been. EVERYONE addresses me as Sir or Mr. XXXX. Extremely polite. Always saying thank you and May I Help You. Pretty impressive. Better than what i'm used to by far.

So i was at the gym for an hour...and I usually do weights at the beginning and then jog for 15 min, and then come back to the weights. So, after about 20 min of weights, i went down stairs to run on the treadmill...and I saw an open on at the far end. I got on and i noticed this girl next to me. Ok, i won't lie. she was foine like all the other people there at NYSC. Anyways, i started up the machine and i picked the 5k track. The 5k track is one of the preprogrammed tracks that you can run. You can also pick your speed.... so i thought a safe speed for me was 4.5. So i'm running for a few minutes...and my eyes wander to the machine next to me... that foine girl set hers at 5.0. So, i upped mine to 5.0. A minute later, she upped hers to 5.5. So i did the same. I think she knew what i was doing. So she upped hers to 6.0. So i'm jogging/running thinking..'what da heck is she doing?! Isn't this suppose to be a nice jog?'. Shoooooot, i gues not. So i upped mine to 6.0. It was sorta funny because we were the only two running like mad people. We wre running hard yet we're in the same place. she upped hers to 6.5. Now that's like a freakin sprint. so i looked at her directly to tell her she's nuts. She just looked back and said 'can't handle it?'. So, i was like 'i'm sorry?'. I coudln't say anymore than that becuase i was so shocked that she even said anything to me. I'm not very talkative to strangers so i just turned back to my machine and put my headphones on. So, i'm thinking in my head.. SHOOOOOOOOOOOT. Puh-lesae jigga, can i handle it?! What kind of a dumb ass question is that?! So i upped mine to 6.5. Now it was a full sprint. It was SO NUTS! and then after a minute or two runing at full speed next to this wacko who i thought was so foine but not anymore... i desperately reached over to the "cool down" button. The treadmill immedately slowed down to walking speed... I was huffing and puffying like a fool. She slowed down too. I can feel her smile beaming on the side of my head. Dumb fool. She's not foine anymore. After the cool down which lasted 2 minutes, i got off and went back upstairs to do more weights.... argh!

So I learned a lesson today. Don't be cocky. If you can't handle the heat, admit it. It's not worth getting all flustered cuz a girl beat you at running on a dumb treadmill. I'll get her back someday. Yea buddy, you betta believe it.~
