  • cell phone on the highway
    Friday, August 29

    a true story:

my younger bro was driving on the highway, when his cellphone rang. it was my mom. knowing that talking on the cell while on the highway could result in a ticket and points, david quickly picked up and said, "uhm ma, gi kuhm juhn hwa moht bahd ah yeo." (mom, i can't pick up the phone right now)

a moment later, david realized that there was a police car driving behind him. fortunately, the police car didn't signal him over, but was merely behind him. to his horror, his cell phone rang again. he was beside himself, not knowing what to do, not wanting to pick up his phone right in front of the police car. so he slyly brought it in front of him, at bellybutton level, opened his phone, and yelled (because the phone was about 3 ft away from his mouth), "UHM MA! WEH DTO JUHN AH HEH?!!!!!!"

turns out, it wasn't my mom, but my mom's friend (who visited our family tonight). she was shocked out of her wits, not knowing why david was screaming like that. according to my mom's friend, david sounded like he wanted TO KILL. she said she had never heard anger like that before. HAHAHAHA

    only in our family. :)
