OH, forgot something that happened this sunday during 5:00 service.

i came down a little before service began. the worship team had already done the sound check, already practiced, had prayed, etc.

when service started and the worship team started playing, something didn't feel right. the whole time, i was like, this isn't right. something is not right. i isolated each instument and vocal in my head. i could hear vocals, but JH's guitar not coming out at ALL. neither was the piano. so, on the mixer, i jacked him WAY up, but it was not working. fiddled with things, but nothing worked. his guitar simply wasn't coming out. worship eventually came to an end.

the pastor went up to speak, and it wasn't loud enough. i raised everything, mains, eq, all, still not good enough. i know this mixer relatively well, and everything was set HIGH, and yet he was not loud enough for the ppl in the back.

i suddenly realized that the mains were not booming at all. no punchiness at all even tho it was so high. i thought, are the mains on at ALL? i told JH. he looked in the back, and sure enough, they weren't in. not plugged AT ALL. so, we plugged in, and viola, it worked.

luckily, it was only 5 min into the sermon.

i dunno who did the sound check or who set the stuff up, but boy oh boy... there was one big oversight there. it would be funny if it wasn't a pretty big deal.

jeehye has been gone just one wk, and do we miss her. in many, many ways...
