EPISODE II
incredible! someone's friend had bought extra tickets to see episode II, and so some of the guys on my floor and i were able to see the 12:01am showing at 86th and lex. it was packed with star wars nuts, as expected.

the movie was a 9/10. it would have been a 7, because:
1) the dialogue between amidala and anakin was horrendous
2) i'm sorry, but samuel jackson can never, ever be a convincing jedi knight
3) hayden is just really, really silly, nowhere as deep and dark as he should have been
4) the other jedi knights are so very, very weak

it got extra points, however, because:
a) yoda's fight scene
b) the beautiful and interesting new worlds that were introduced/scenery.
c) natalie portman
d) natalie portman's abs
e) natalie portman

she stirred up the flame i felt for her from my freshman year, and again my junior year, when there was an absurd rumour that she might be coming to JHU (she ended up going to Harvard...a girl with brains...i LIKE that esp b/c she got in by doing well in HS, not b/c of her fame. no, not b/c she's a world famous actress AND beautiful. i'm sure that had nothing to do with it at ALL)

which now puts me in conflict. who of the two below is prettier? (the other girl is song hye gyo, from ga ul dong hwa, the korean drama, "Autumn story")


natalie...........................or........................song hye gyo?

(boy, does this bring back memories of freshman year. remember when my freshman year site was just a bunch of pictures of natalie and sophie marceau?)
