boy, am i hungry. i have been eating 1 or 2 meals a day for quite a while now. i never eat breakfast, simply because i'm always in a rush in the morning, and i often skip lunch to prepare for afternoon classes.
but today, i am simply too lazy to leave my room to get some food. but not too lazy to dream about tasty things... you know what i'm craving right now? a double-double. those of you who have been to california know what i'm talking about. It's the banner of In-n-out. a brief description: buns, toasted with butter until it is golden brown. two fresh (NEVER frozen) thinly sliced beef patties (unlike these nasty gargantuan beef patties in NY that are 1-2 inches thick, and taste like ground beef just slapped together) that are adhered to each other by cheese, fresh lettuce and tomatoes, and a special sauce. The product? a burger about the size of a Big Mac, a burger that packs some weight (you will seriously be surprised at it's weight) with it's juiciness. It's like a nugget of gold. And it's soooo good. all for $2.50. I grew up on that stuff. and to top it all off, it's run by a Christian family. wow. i wish they would let me start a branch on the east coast. i'm sure it'll explode. after tasting these nasty, bulky, tasteless burgers, the double-double will take the east coast by storm. yakob at 2:22 PM |
